A joint strategic operation on 6 October conducted by Workforce Opportunities & Residency Cayman (WORC) and the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) resulted in two people being arrested on suspicion of working outside the limitations of their work permits.
Just after 3AM on Saturday, 8 October, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to a report of a single vehicle collision that occurred on Shamrock Road, Bodden Town, in the vicinity of Brightview Drive.
Police continue to appeal for persons who may have witnessed the shooting incident which occurred just before 12:15AM on Saturday, 29 September, in the Birch Tree Hill area of West Bay
Following a number of media enquiries on the matter, the Commissioner of Police confirms that the investigation file on the incident involving a senior politician on Tuesday, 13 September, is nearing completion, and will be submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
On Sunday 2nd October, RCIPS officers arrested two men on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm, in relation to the shooting incident which occurred in West Bay on the morning of Thursday, 29 September.
At about 7:45PM on Wednesday, 28 September, officers were dispatched to a report of an armed robbery which had taken place outside a restaurant on North Church Street
Just before 12:15AM on Thursday 29 September, police and other emergency services were dispatched to a report of shots fired in the Birch Tree Hill area of West Bay
