The Ministry of Tourism has paid tribute to much-loved businessman and former airline captain, Robert ‘Robbie’ Hamaty who passed away on Saturday. In a statement, the Ministry said “it is greatly saddened by the passing of our dear friend and esteemed tourism industry partner.”
Cayman society is mourning the passing of Robert Hamaty, one of its much-loved adopted sons and business stalwart. Mr Hamaty's passing was announced in a press release from the Tortuga Rum Company, the world-famous brand which he founded in the Cayman Islands.
