The Public Health Department is reporting that at 8 a.m. Tuesday, 2 November, there had been 1,115 PCR tests conducted since the last report.
Of these, there were 115 positive tests, including four travellers and 111 individuals in the community.
This brings the number of active cases of COVID-19 in the Cayman Islands to 1,299.
The total number of cases recorded in the Cayman Islands since the start of the pandemic is 2,356. This includes a total of 73 positives reported in the Sister Islands.
Eight COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, with one patient requiring supplemental oxygen. None are on a ventilator. A patient that transferred from Cayman Brac to Grand Cayman overnight, is managing well on supplemental oxygen.
As of 8a.m. Wednesday, 3 November, there had been 116,075 COVID-19 vaccinations given in total in the Cayman Islands. Of these, 56,808 (80% of 71,106) have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 54,613 (77%) have completed the two-dose course.
Additionally, 4,654 (representing 24% of those over the age of 50) have had a third or booster dose.
