5,339 Vaccinations and 1 Positive COVID 19 case reported on Tuesday
The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Lee, reports that 444 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since this was last reported on Monday, 18 January 2021. One was positive.
The individual is an asymptomatic traveller who tested positive following routine screening. They will remain in isolation until considered recovered.
The number of people in isolation, either at a government facility or in their homes, as required by the Medical Officer of Health, is 1,303.
A further 431 people have received the COVID-19 vaccine since this was last reported on Monday, 18 January 2021. This brings the total number of people vaccinated in the Cayman Islands to 5,339.
