7 Positive COVID 19 cases reported on Monday

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Lee, reports that 658 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since this was last reported on Friday, 9 April 2021. Seven were positive.

The individuals are travellers who tested positive following routine screening. They will remain in isolation until considered recovered.

The number of people in isolation, either at a government facility or in their homes, as required by the Medical Officer of Health, is 673.

The total number of COVID-19 vaccines administered to date is 58,530.

So far, 32,293 (50% of the estimated population of 65,000) have received at least one dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, with 38% having completed the two-dose course.

Of those aged 16 years and over, 61% have had at least one dose.
