On Monday, May 17th, 2021 The Hope for Today Foundation organized a very successful “Clash of the Legends Football Game and Family Fun Day”. There was a tremendous show of support from all the members of the Cayman Community with approx. 250 plus people, which also included members from the Business and Government levels. The foundation would like to once again thank everyone who showed their support and look forward to building this relationship stronger through our joint efforts in assisting the Cayman society in any way possible.
Cayman is home to many people who suffer from addiction. The non-profit, non-governmental, non-denominational Hope For Today Foundation is a coalition of volunteers dedicated to helping and supporting recovering drug addicts and alcoholics through the transition from prison or treatment community life.
Statistics have shown that “relapse” often occurs when an individual returns to the familiar environment where addiction had its origins. By establishing and operating alcohol and drug-free transitional houses and campus within the community, the Hope Foundation program provides a secure, safe, and stable haven for individuals to gradually work their way back to a purposeful life.
Throughout our fundraising efforts, we would like to especially give thanks to; Hon. Bernie Bush, Hon. Andre Ebanks, Hon. Katherine Ebanks-Wilks, and the Fosters Food Fair organization, which have provided us with the use of their facilities regularly. We have also received great support from local businesses who have donated the raffle prizes distributed at the event.
The football match was organized between The Latino Old Men VS Mix Cayman Squad resulting in 4-1 favor of The Latino Old Men. Below are the winners of the raffle draw which was made concluding the program. Winners are requested to contact Mr. Tahir Chaudhry @ 924-8095 to claim their prizes.
Thank you to all those who supported the foundation and we look forward to your continued support.
