APPLEBY ANNOUNCES COMMITMENT TO REDUCE ITS GLOBAL CARBON FOOTPRINT

Appleby is proud to announce on World Environment Day that it is furthering its sustainability commitment by working with Planet Mark to measure and reduce the Group’s carbon footprint.

Through the Planet Mark Business Certification, Appleby will be measuring and endeavouring to reduce its carbon footprint to ensure that the law firm is embedding sustainability into its core business practices.

An internationally recognised symbol of sustainability progress, Planet Mark provides businesses with a comprehensive sustainability framework that helps to reduce carbon emissions, improve resource efficiency and support positive social impact. Through the partnership, Appleby will work with Planet Mark to measure its carbon footprint and develop a plan to reduce it. This includes addressing carbon emissions from the Group’s offices, travel, energy use and waste.

Appleby Group Managing Partner Malcolm Moller said: “We are delighted to partner with Planet Mark to further demonstrate our commitment to sustainability. As a global firm, we recognise that we have a responsibility to reduce our environmental impact and the Planet Mark Business Certification is a great way to do this.

“On a day such as World Environment Day, which highlights and encourages worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment, we wanted to be able to demonstrate our own commitment to taking tangible actions to reduce our carbon footprint and create a more sustainable future.”

The Group hopes to be in the position to make a further announcement about its achievement of Planet Mark certification in the coming weeks.
