ATV Seized Following Reports of Dangerous Road Use in George Town
An all-terrain (ATV) vehicle, operated by a 29-year-old man of Bodden Town, has been seized by the Police following reports of dangerous road use in George Town on Tuesday, 10 March.
Shortly before noon, officers responded to reports of two motorists performing stunts on public roads in George Town.
The rider of the ATV was intercepted near Countryside in Savannah, with the assistance from the Air Operations Unit.
He was warned for intended prosecution for careless driving, driving without being qualified, driving without insurance and other traffic offences.
The ATV was transported to the George Town Police Station as part of the investigation.
Police remind the public that any vehicle being operated on public roads must be properly licensed, registered and insured in accordance with the Traffic Act.
Any motorist observed or reported to be in breach of these requirements may be prosecuted.
Motorists and other road users are also urged to drive responsibly and report dangerous driving behaviour to the Police.
