Birch Tree Hill Road to Become One-Way Northbound
The Ministry of Planning, Lands, Agriculture, Housing & Infrastructure (PLAHI), in partnership with the National Roads Authority (NRA), advises the public that a section of Birch Tree Hill Road in West Bay will be converted from a two-way road to a one-way northbound road.
The new traffic arrangement will apply between Reverend Blackman Road and Stadium Drive and will take effect by Tuesday, 1 September 2026. A schematic showing the affected section of the roadway is attached for reference.
The conversion is intended to:
• Improve roadway capacity and traffic flow;
• Reduce potential conflicts between motorists and pedestrians;
• Enhance overall road safety; and
• Support smoother and more efficient movement through the area.
As road users become familiar with the new arrangement, motorists travelling through the area are reminded to:
• Exercise caution and remain alert;
• Observe all posted road signs;
• Adhere to the posted speed limits; and
• Follow the new one-way northbound traffic configuration.
MPLAHI and the NRA thank the public for their patience and cooperation during the transition.
