Body Recovered In water off Seven Mile Beach
Following a coordinated and extensive search effort led by the Cayman Islands Coast Guard (CICG), the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) Air Operations Unit (AOU)-with an observer from Customs and Border Control (CBC) on board-has located and recovered the body of a deceased individual in the waters off Seven Mile Beach.
The deceased is suspected to be the missing individual who was the subject of the ongoing search and rescue operation initiated on the night of Saturday, June 6. Formal identification procedures are currently pending.
The Cayman Islands Coast Guard extends its gratitude to all responding agencies, including the RCIPS, the Cayman Islands Fire Service, and Customs and Border Control, for their assistance and inter-agency coordination throughout this operation.
Further details will be released to the public once formal identification has been completed and other appropriate lines of investigation allow for information to be released to the public.
