Books & Books, one of the first retail stores to open its doors in Camana Bay’s Town Centre more than 10 years ago, will acknowledge and celebrate its evolution from a bookstore to a one-stop-shop for meaningful and unique collections of books, toys, gifts and games with a new name and new brand image – Next Chapter.

Inspired by the eclectic personality of the space and its products but continuing to honour its deep-rooted connection to books, reading, and promoting literacy throughout the community, the Next Chapter brand is fresh and fun. The brandmark plays with the concept of puzzles, books and bookends, whilst the name itself acknowledges the milestones that are marked and celebrated by their customers and continues to commit to the shop’s DNA of being an authentic bookstore.

Senior Operations Manager Simon Watson was an important voice during the process of choosing this new identity for the store. “We love that we are part of our customers’ stories during every chapter of their lives, be it preparing for pregnancy and the birth of a new baby, or a housewarming gift for someone’s new home. Every celebration is a new chapter in some way and Next Chapter can help mark this special occasion with meaningful gifts,” he said. “The evolution of our store has been a gradual and natural one, mainly dictated by our customers. We are proud to be able to offer everything that is needed when buying gifts for loved ones or even ourselves; beautiful products to suit the whole family, a full selection of gift cards, a knowledgeable and friendly team and even free gift wrapping.”

Next Chapter will continue to stand by its “lowest price guarantee” that Books & Books customers have appreciated for many years. “Value is incredibly important to us,” said Patrick Swanick, store manager. “We are dedicated to investing our time sourcing unique items that will be cherished as well as global best sellers, but we devote considerable efforts to making sure that we can confidently say that our prices are the best in Cayman, so much so that if you find the same item cheaper on island, we will refund the difference.”

Although the store will have a new name and brand image, all important Books & Books attributes will remain. Gift cards will continue to be accepted and do not expire. Next Chapter is a proud member of the Polyn loyalty programme, and the store hours will not change (Mondays through Fridays, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.).
