Dr. Corrine Ellsworth Beaumont, PhD MFA, will be the guest speaker for the Breast Cancer Foundation’s 2026 Annual Gala, which celebrates the organization’s 17th anniversary

The Breast Cancer Foundation has announced that Dr. Corrine Ellsworth Beaumont, PhD MFA, will be the guest speaker for its 2026 Annual Gala on October 3rd, which will mark the organisation’s 17th anniversary.
Dr. Ellsworth Beaumont is the founder and CEO of Dandelion Health and the Know Your Lemons Foundation, a global charity focused on improving breast health education. She is known for using visual metaphors to teach breast cancer symptoms, screening, and diagnosis, helping to overcome taboos, fear, and literacy barriers that frequently delay early detection.
Since launching the foundation with her personal savings in 2017, Dr. Ellsworth Beaumont’s initiatives have reached more than 2 billion people globally. Her contributions include the Webby Award-winning Know Your Lemons app—which has been translated into over 40 languages—a volunteer educator network, and partnerships with hospitals, governments, and NGOs in more than 75 countries.
The Breast Cancer Foundation operates as part of this international network. All of the Foundation’s staff members are certified “Lemonistas.” In 2025, the local team conducted more than 90 Know Your Lemons classes throughout the Cayman Islands community, securing its position as a prominent leader within the global network.
Dr. Ellsworth Beaumont has participated in international panels, including the WHO Global Breast Cancer Initiative, and has presented at the United Nations Conference and the World Cancer Congress. In 2025, Google recognized her as a featured app developer, highlighting her efforts in a short film for its We Are Play series. Her TEDx talk addressing the role of design in healthcare also earned a standing ovation.

The Breast Cancer Foundation’s Annual Gala is hosted each year to acknowledge advancements in breast cancer advocacy and to secure funding for wellness programmes, early detection initiatives, and patient care across the Cayman Islands.
