Cayman Islands Men’s Under-20 National Team squad announced ahead of Concacaf Qualifiers
The Cayman Islands Football Association has announced the Cayman Islands Men’s Under-20 National Team squad for the upcoming Concacaf Under-20 Qualifiers, with the team set to open its campaign on Monday, Feb. 23.
Cayman was drawn into Group B along with Jamaica, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts and Nevis, Turks and Caicos Islands and Bonaire. Cayman opens play against Turks and Caicos at 1 p.m. on 23 Feb. at The Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca, in Willemstad, Curaçao.
This competition is the first step in regional qualifying for the 2027 FIFA Men’s U-20 World Cup and the 2028 Summer Olympics.
“This group has worked extremely hard in preparation for these qualifiers, and we are confident in the commitment and character they will bring to the tournament,” head coach Garth Anderson said. “Our focus has been on building a strong team identity, improving our tactical discipline and ensuring the players are ready to compete. This is an important opportunity for them to represent the Cayman Islands, gain valuable international experience and continue their development as we look to the future of our national program.”

The Concacaf Under-20 Qualifiers run Feb. 23 through March 4 across multiple venues in Central America and the Caribbean. The regional competition features 32 participating countries, with teams competing in group play for a place in the 2026 Concacaf Under-20 Championship. Only the winner of each group will advance to the next stage of the competition.

After round-robin play, the first-place team from each group will advance to the 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship, joining the six top-ranked nations that are pre-qualified directly to the tournament.
