Channel Capital takes First Prize at the Chamber Golf Classic

The Channel Capital team of Paul Skinner, Mark Cook, Serge Berube, and Joseph Ferruzz claimed first place and received great prizes including bottles of Appleton VX rum for each team member, and CI$100 gift certificates courtesy of Island Companies.

Second place was claimed by TRAC team, consisting of Allen Bernardo, Jeff Cummer, Nigel Kellow and Brandon Smith.

The Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce recently hosted its 26th annual Golf Classic on Friday 1 November.

The popular event sold out early, with 19 teams and sponsors competing at North Sound Golf Club in a four-person scramble over the course of five hours.

The Channel Capital team of Paul Skinner, Mark Cook, Serge Berube, and Joseph Ferruzz claimed first place and received great prizes including bottles of Appleton VX rum for each team member, and CI$100 gift certificates courtesy of Island Companies.

Second place was claimed by TRAC team, consisting of Allen Bernardo, Jeff Cummer, Nigel Kellow and Brandon Smith.

Third Place was claimed by Liftech Ltd’s team of Dale Malyk, Dave Klischuk, Jeff Humphries and Sandy Malyk, and RSM’s team of Calvin Hall, Jaime Lyon, Rob Wilson and Aaron Elniski came Fourth.

Closest-to-the-Pin winners were Hilary Brooks of HSM and Dale Malyk of Liftech Ltd (Men’s) and Toney Davis of CG Britcay.  Longest Drive went to Steven Hill and Samantha Widmer gained Women’s Longest Drive. 

The Chamber Golf Classic is a charity event, and this year donated a portion of the proceeds from the event to workforce development programmes.

“Thank you to all the golfers who came out to make the tournament an afternoon to remember, and congratulations to Health City and all teams and raffle winners,” said Chamber President-Elect Omari Corbin, who enjoyed giving out prizes at the end of the day.
