A jolly jog for a cause returns with the Santa Run, on Saturday, 12 December

To celebrate the magic of the holidays in a safe and enjoyable manner, Camana Bay is sprinkling the festive cheer throughout the season, with a number of celebrations for all to enjoy.

After a challenging year, the holidays offer a welcome reprieve for families to celebrate and focus on the joy of the season. With a strong focus on supporting our local businesses, Camana Bay aims to offer guests a chance to shop for their loved ones on island and enjoy meaningful experiences and festive fun as they make Camana Bay their “Home of the Holidays” this season.

Tree Lighting

In light of current Cayman Islands Government regulations limiting public gatherings to fewer than 500 people, the Camana Bay Tree Lighting will not take place this year. From the weekend of 28 November, the Town Centre will be beautifully lit and fully decorated, and all are encouraged to make their dinner reservations for Saturday, 28 November and onwards to enjoy the merry and magical ambience of twinkling lights surrounding alfresco dining.

Christmas shopping – Miracle on Market Street, win big, and more!

Shopping local has never been more fun. With the launch of the Shop, Dine, Win! Christmas raffle on Tuesday, 24 November, shoppers have the chance to win a weekly prize of a CI$500 Camana Bay Gift Card – or the grand prize of a $1,000 gift card – whenever they spend more than $50 on a Tuesday leading up to Christmas. Weekly prize winners will be drawn on Wednesdays, with the grand prize winner announced on Wednesday, 23 December.

Come out on Thursday, 3 December from 5 to 8 p.m. for Miracle on Market Street, a festive shopping event for all! With hot cocoa and an eggnog bar, crafts and an igloo photobooth, Christmas cookies and a DJ playing Christmas tunes, there will be plenty of Christmas spirit to go around. Enjoy free food samples from Pani Indian Kitchen, The Waterfront Urban Diner, The Brooklyn Pizza + Pasta and Mizu Asian Bistro + Bar, register on site for the Santa Run, enjoy live carolling and get those gifts wrapped for a donation to a charitable cause.

Free family photos with Santa

Santa will be in Camana Bay this Christmas, visiting not one, not two, but three times! Come out each Saturday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. from Saturday, 5 December through Saturday, 19 December for free family photos with Santa Claus, taken by Tom Williamson of Blank Canvas.

Festive fitness for a cause

Stay fit and give back this season by registering for the Santa Run, a jolly jog for a cause on Saturday, 12 December. With a two-mile loop starting and ending on the Camana Bay Crescent, the Santa Run is perfect for runners of all ages and abilities, and festive outfits are encouraged. Funds raised will benefit the Cayman Food Bank via the Camana Bay Christmas Give.

Holiday movies under the stars

There’s nothing like an outdoor film enjoyed under the stars – and twinkling lights of Camana Bay – and accompanied by Cayman’s blissful December breezes. Take in two Moonlight & Movies screenings on the Crescent, held on Tuesday, 22 and Wednesday, 23 December and beginning at 7 p.m. Movie titles will be announced on social media channels once confirmed. Enjoy dinner to go from one of the Camana Bay restaurants and spot giveaways of a picnic blanket or wine bottle holder each evening.

Live music

The Fall Music Series kicked off at the start of November and will continue through the end of the year, offering entertainment from local musicians on the Crescent every Thursday evening, between 5:30 and 7 p.m.

Christmas markets and bazaars

The weekly Farmers & Artisans Market continues throughout the season, offering an ideal opportunity to pick up fresh produce for those Christmas feasts or locally made artisanal goods, which make unique Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers.

The Pink Ladies Bazaar will take place in Gardenia Court on Saturday, 5 December from 3 to 5 p.m. and will mark the bazaar’s 40th anniversary! The Visual Arts Society will also host its craft market on Saturday, 12 December on the Paseo from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Support these organisations and browse their wares while checking off those Christmas lists.

Celebrate

Party the night away for a cause at Abacus’ Mistletoe event on Friday, 18 December. Beginning at 8 p.m., this ticketed event – which will cap attendees at 500 people in accordance with current government regulations – continues its tradition of encouraging all to wear their winter whites and welcome the final run-up to Christmas with a live DJ and indoor and outdoor bars.
