Water Authority-Cayman will waive penalty fees for June 2020, to further assist customers facing financial hardships during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This is in addition to waived penalty fees for March, April and May 2020.
The Authority’s Wastewater COVID-19 Discount Policy for commercial customers has been extended by an additional three (3) months; which now means customers, may apply for a discount on wastewater bills for April through September. Customers who want to benefit from this temporary discount, must make the request in writing and provide
1) water consumption records for the entire calendar year 2019 and
2) the Cayman Water Company bill for the month under consideration. Requests should be submitted to email@example.com.
The Authority also developed a COVID-19 Payment Deferral Policy to assist persons who may be temporarily out of a job due to the pandemic. This Policy allows customers to defer payment for up to three (3) months and ends 30 June 2020. All customers who have continuing financial difficulties and are unable to make full payment are encouraged to contact the Authority’s Customer Service Team to make arrangements for a payment agreement. Customers can contact the Customer Service Team at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 94WATER (949-2837).
Starting Monday, 22 June 2020, surname restrictions will no longer apply, and customers can visit the Authority any day. Additionally, the Authority will open for regular hours (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) starting Monday, 29 June 2020.
Customers who can conduct business with the Authority electronically are encouraged to continue to do so. These services include contacting the Authority’s Customer Service Team via email at email@example.com, calling during opening hours 94WATER and making a payment online by visiting www.waterauthority.ky.
