Connect Hosts Second Annual Pickleball Tournament to Support Caymanian Career Development

Connect by Nova is excited to announce the return of its highly anticipated Pickleball Tournament, taking place on Thursday, 25 September 2025, from 4–6PM at Pickleball Cayman, followed by nibbles at The Roost.

Now in its second year, the Connect Pickleball Tournament brings together players of all skill levels for a fun, competitive afternoon that supports a meaningful cause: raising funds to help Caymanians achieve long-term career success.

“Pickleball is about connection – it’s fast, fun, and inclusive – and that’s exactly what Connect by Nova is about too,” said Jasmine Zerjal, voluntary Head of Events for Connect. “This tournament not only gives players a chance to showcase their talents and enjoy the game, but also offers the perfect opportunity to meet new people, arrange a catch-up with friends, or even get back on the exercise wagon – all while directly supporting our mission to help Caymanians access career opportunities and build skills that benefit the entire community”.

The tournament is open to players of all abilities. Those who register individually will be paired with other participants to form teams, ensuring an enjoyable and social afternoon for everyone. Entry fees are CI$200 for individuals, CI$300 for teams of two, and CI$500 for teams of four, with players also enjoying a raffle featuring top prizes donated by local businesses.

Funds raised through the tournament will go directly towards Connect programmes, which serve as a bridge between Caymanian talent and local businesses. From training, mentorship, and internships, to strengthening employers’ ability to attract, retain, and develop local talent, Connect plays a vital role in the Cayman Islands job market.

Last year’s inaugural tournament drew strong community support, with over 70 players coming together – and this year’s event promises to be even bigger.

Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged. To sign up, email events@connectbynova.org
