Crowning Island Style

It is pageant time again and what a line up it is on the tapestry of gorgeous Cayman Islands and for the for the 2nd time ever, Miss Global International will be hosted in the Cayman Islands. 

Get ready for a bevy of beauties to arrive on September 30th and for one week leading up to the pageant, the sightings will be grand, the excursions extravagant and the competition will be fierce.  With a World class pageant taking place at the Hotel Indigo, performances from over 20 countries will once again be world class.  With Peru, United Kingdom, France, India, Guyana, Jamaica, Turks and Caicos, Botswana and South Africa, just to name a few countries, ladies from around the world are gearing up to shimmy their way into the Cayman Islands for an unforgettable visit. First up in the making is the crowning of the two local delegates that will also compete in the international pageant this fall.  Under the direction of Catherine Tyson-Sewell, Miss Global International Cayman Islands and Miss Global International Philippines will be crowned this Sunday evening at Grand Tiki, with doors opening at 6PM. 

As National Director of both franchises, Tyson-Sewell says that merging pageantry with mentorship and her Crowned with Confidence Collective aims to nurture and inspire the next generation of leaders while connecting them globally and showing just how small and accessible the world really is.   Last year Miss Global International Cayman Islands, Caitlin Tyson and Miss Global International Philippines, Britney Quiz earned Top 5 status on an international level at last year’s pageant and were 2 of the Top 3 talent finalists with Cayman being 2nd Runner up in the overall pageant, a first for Cayman’s results at international pageant.   

After a rigorous deliberation process, 2 delegates have emerged and will take up the reins of Miss Global International Cayman Islands and Philippines.  The outgoing queens have had a full year of representation working with local organisations and schools in touching the lives of young people while inspiring them to follow their dreams.  This Sunday night Caitlin Tyson and Britney Quiz will hand over their crowns and sashes to 2 very deserving young ladies that will take up the mantle.  With such big shoes to fill, these two young ladies, with beauty and poise, are up to the challenge.  The reveal happens this weekend along with music, food and flair and the two delegates giving a sneak peak of the talent that they will exhibit on the big stage come October 4th.
