As of 3:00 pm today, power was restored to nearly all of CUC's customers. There are 12 customers who are currently without electricity. CUC plans to restore power to these customers by midnight tonight with the exception of one customer who will remain off until tomorrow morning.
Additionally, there are a small number of customers whose premises sustained damage and the property was disconnected to enable the customer to carry out repairs. These customers are reminded that they should contact a Licenced Electrician and obtain approval from the Government’s Building Control Unit (BCU), which is required prior to the CUC connection.
They encourage customers who are experiencing an outage to check their Outage Map at www.cuc-cayman.com to confirm that the outage has been recorded and to obtain the estimated outage restoration time. If your neighbours have electricity and you remain without power, please leave a message on CUC's Outage Hotline at 945-1282, which is being monitored by their team. To report downed power lines, fires or other electrical safety issues, please call 911.
