Department of Sports Honouring Women’s Month, public events continue to flourish! On March 16, the FitDance Session ‘Her Move, Her Power’ filled the venue to capacity with 25 enthusiastic women in attendance. Held at the Intergenerational HUB’s Creative Space, FitDance Instructor Yanique Mitchell led the group through fun, high-energy routines.
“Her Move, Her Power” aligned perfectly with this year’s theme, #GiveToGain, attracting women from diverse demographics and age groups. The attendees joyfully danced to Yanique captivating instructions, through a variety of caribbean music ending with the ska for cool down.
Being full figured, Instructor Yanique reminded them that size nor ability should hold them back from dancing and having a blast. She encouraged everyone to embrace their uniqueness, celebrating the fact that no two people are the same.
Organisers thanked Yanique for her willingness and support of Honouring Women’s Month #GiveToGain Sessions and extends gratitude to CUC for their generosity in providing a gift card, presented to Yanique as a token of appreciation.
