Cayman Prep & High School (teal jerseys) look to defend their Dart Under 13 girls’ title.
The 2025 Dart Under 13 boys’ and girls’ high school football regular seasons concluded in early October as the second stage of the two competitions – the Champions and Consolation Cups – began on Thursday, October 9 and will continue on Monday, October 27 following the mid-term break.
In the girls’ competition, defending champions Cayman Prep & High School (Cayman Prep) topped the regular season standings with a 100% record and will face second place St. Ignatius Catholic in the Dart Under 13 Girls’ Champions Cup final on Wednesday, October 29. St. Ignatius Catholic will be eager to avenge a 3-0 loss, which they experienced when they faced Cayman Prep in the final regular season game.
In the girls’ Consolation Cup, third-placed Cayman International School (CIS) face newcomers and sixth-placed CF High School and in the government school derby, fourth-placed Clifton Hunter High School (CHHS) take on fifth-placed John Gray High School (JGHS) on Monday, October 27.
Winners of the two games will meet in the Dart Under 13 Girls’ Consolation Cup final scheduled for Wednesday, October 29.
In the Dart Under 13 boys’ division, schools were divided into two groups – Group A and Group B - with the top two schools in each group participating in the Dart Under 13 Champions Cup and the remaining schools competing in the Dart Under 13 Consolation Cup.
Games in the boys’ Champions Cup and Consolation Cup competitions began on Thursday, October 9 with one of the semi-finals games in the Champions Cup and the preliminary games in the Consolation Cup played.
Prior to the start of the cup stage, the boys’ regular season concluded on Monday, October 6 with defending champions Cayman Prep 13A topping Group A and JGHS winning Group B. The two group winners along with second-placed CHHS (Group A) and CIS 13 Boys Blue (Group B) advanced to play in the Champions Cup.
On Thursday, October 9, JGHS defeated CHHS 6-1 in the first semi-final of the boys’ Champions Cup. On Tuesday, October 28, Cayman Prep 13A will take on CIS 13 Boys Blue to see which school will meet JGHS in the final, which is scheduled for Thursday, October 30. The loser will play CHHS on Friday, October 31 in the third-placed game.
In the boys’ Consolation Cup playoff games played on Thursday, October 9, Cayman Academy (Group B5) downed Footsteps School (Group A4) 5-0 and CF High School (Group B4) beat CIS 13 Boys White (Group A5) 2-0 to advance to the semi-finals on Thursday, October 30.
In the semi-finals, Cayman Academy will face St. Ignatius Catholic (Group A3) and CF High School will play Cayman Prep 13B (Group B3) with the two winners to meet in the final on Friday, October 31.
