“Detoxing the Soul”: SoCaymanian Inspires Renewal and Hope in Cayman

SoCaymanian held its first event of 2026 on Friday, 19 June 2026 at Surfers Paradise, drawing a warm and engaged crowd for an evening centred on healing, renewal, and personal empowerment.

Entitled “Creating a New Life Paradigm Through Detoxing Your Soul,” the event was facilitated by Dr. Leanora Colley, a Life Coach and Mentor based in New Jersey, USA. Dr. Colley guided participants through a series of reflective exercises, teaching them how to deconstruct old patterns, detox the soul, break negative cycles, and rebuild their sense of self-worth as they work toward creating a new life.

The free event attracted 61 attendees, both women and men, all eager to embrace the message of transformation and hope. By the evening’s close, participants described feeling uplifted and inspired to make lasting change. “This was needed,” said one attendee, while another spoke of how empowered she felt to have been part of “such an empowering event.” Many left yearning for more.

Sharon Banks, founder of SoCaymanian, a Non-Profit Organization, said the initiative marks the beginning of many more to come. “I am excited to bring hope to the people of the Cayman Islands, particularly women and children, through inspiring events like this one,” she shared. Banks, who is deeply invested in making a difference in her community, said the organisation is committed to creating spaces where people can find encouragement, healing, and renewed purpose.
