Police Respond To Single Vehicle Collision on Shamrock Road

Shortly after 2:15AM, this morning Monday 1 July, police and other emergency services responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on Shamrock Road, in the vicinity of Spotts Newlands Road, where a white BMW collided into a wall.
Two occupants of the vehicle, one male and one female, were extricated from the vehicle and transported to the hospital where they were pronounced deceased by the attending doctor.
The roadway travelling west towards George Town is diverted through Hirst Road, while police carry out their investigations. East bound traffic is being diverted through Spotts Newlands Road.
East bound traffic is recommended to avoid the area and instead take the East West Arterial.
