At about 9:30PM on Sunday, 29 June, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a convenience store on Reverend Blackman Road in West Bay. It was reported that a masked man carrying a machete, forced his way into the store, took a quantity of cash from the register, and fled on foot.
Officers conducted enquiries which confirmed the man had subsequently entered a vehicle and left the area. Officers subsequently located the vehicle and later located and arrested two men, age 30, residing in George Town, and age 29, residing in North Side, on suspicion of robbery. The 29-year-old was found with a quantity of a suspected controlled drug in his possession, and was further arrested on drug offenses.
They remain in custody as investigations continue.
