Olivia Ziemniak and Leah Alberga wowed the crowd at the Equestrian Center this past Sunday by riding double-clear rounds in each of their respective classes in the third and final National Jumping Series horse show of the season. Ziemniak won the .60 meter and .70 meter classes on Teddy, a riding school pony owned by the Equestrian Center and Leah Alberga won the .80 meter and .90 meter classes on her own Cayman-bred pony, Moon Lady.

The day also saw several entrants in the beginner cross rails and .50 meter class which is not part of the National Jumping Series, Many of these riders are expected to graduate to compete in the jumping series next year.

With the National Jumping Series wrapped up, the Cayman Islands Equestrian Federation (CIEF) will be starting its National Dressage Series with the first of four shows on February 9th at the Equestrian Center starting at 8am. Valerie Swygert will be flying in from Lexington, South Carolina to judge the show.

Following the completion of the National Dressage Series, the CIEF will be naming Champion and Reserve Champions for both the show jumping and dressage season at its annual awards dinner which will take place in June.
