The Ministry of Education (MOE) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Early Childhood Assistance Programme (ECAP) funding for the 2024/25 academic year.
Premier and Minister for Education, Hon. Juliana O’Connor-Connolly, emphasised the Programme’s significance. “Investing in our youngest learners is crucial for the Cayman Islands’ future. ECAP ensures Caymanian families have access to quality early learning experiences, fostering the development of the next generation.”
ECAP provides financial assistance of up to $500.00 per month towards tuition fees at approved early childhood centres.
To qualify, children must be Caymanian and turn three years old before 1 September 2024. Parents or guardians must also meet the means-testing requirements.
Parents and guardians may visit the MoE’s online portal: https://moeapplications.gov.ky/ to determine their eligibility or to apply. The completed application form must be accompanied by an electronic copy of the child’s birth certificate, an official letter from Workforce Opportunities & Residency Cayman (WORC) acknowledging the child’s right to be Caymanian, a copy of the parent’s Government-issued ID and proof of income.
Once the application is submitted, it will undergo an oversight process. Families who submit their applications by 31 July will receive an outcome notification via email by 1 September.
