On Monday Police closed Anton Bodden Drive and Condor Drive in Bodden Town, due to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian, where the pedestrian succumbed to injuries he sustained. The incident took place just after 7PM Sunday evening when a member of the public reported that a man was found unresponsive in the vicinity of Leroy Fredericks Drive off Anton Bodden Drive and appears to have been struck by a vehicle.
It is believed that more than one vehicle was involved in the collision and all vehicles involved fled the scene.
Police are seeking the assistance of the public with information concerning this collision. Anyone with information is being asked to call the Bodden Town Police Station at 947-2220.
Also on Monday Police and other emergency services are currently on the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision involving a school bus and a motorcyclist who later succumbed to his injuries.
The roadway was closed both ways between Northward Road and Condor Drive Bodden Town and with no diversions available in this area, officers worked quickly as possible to open the roadways.
The matters are under investigation and the roadway has been closed as a result. All motorist are being asked to use the main road. Only residence within Anton Bodden and Condor Drive will be allowed to exit the area while the road is closed.
