Police have confirmed the identities of the victims in Saturday’s fatal traffic collision They are, Mr. Lopez George Higgins, age 26, and Ms. Charlisa Titanya Chambers, age 27, both Jamaican nationals living in Cayman.
The RCIPS extends its condolences to the families of the deceased.
Police responded to a serious two-vehicle collision occurred on the morning of Saturday, 7 September, in East End. The two occupants of one vehicle have been confirmed dead while the driver of the other was not injured.
The serious two-vehicle collision which occurred shortly after 3:00 on Saturday was on Sea View Road in the vicinity of High Rock Drive, in East End, and involved a car and a truck. The two occupants of the car where found unresponsive and the driver of the truck was not injured.
The Department of Environmental Health later confirmed that one of its vehicles was involved in that fatal accident.
The department is assisting the RCIPS with their enquiry and will make no further comment while the investigation is ongoing.
The Ministry of Health and the Department of Environmental Health extended condolences to the families of the deceased.
