Beautiful women in beautiful costumes launched the 2019 Batabano presentation by mas band Illusions. Models strutted the u shaped runway at the Grand Pavilion to soca music showing off resplendent costumes with names like Coquette and Lure.
The theme – Flirt - was conceptualized by band leader Tiffany Rankine who says that she was influenced by the behavior of her friends at Carnival time in their beautiful costumes, enjoying themselves and flirting. She wants to bring this joyful feeling to the masqueraders of her band.
The four sections – Coquette, Lure, Coax and Vixen are an array of colourful feathers with headbands and leg ties in intricate beaded details. Prices range from CI$215 to S400 with upgrades of your choice . Also available is a limited T shirt package with bottoms. For more information, check out Illusions on social media.
