The 2024 public holidays for the Cayman Islands have been named as follows:
Monday, 1 January – New Year’s Day
Monday, 22 January – National Heroes Day
Wednesday, 14 February – Ash Wednesday
Friday, 29 March – Good Friday
Monday, 1 April – Easter Monday
Monday, 6 May – Emancipation Day
Monday, 17 June – King’s Birthday (unconfirmed)
Monday, 1 July – Constitution Day
Monday, 11 November – Remembrance Day
Wednesday, 25 December – Christmas Day
Thursday, 26 December – Boxing Day.
The Cayman Islands Government’s Cabinet recently approved the reinstatement of the Emancipation Day holiday, which will be commemorated on the first Monday in May and replace the Discovery Day public holiday, beginning in 2024.
Meanwhile, confirmation regarding the date of the King’s Birthday public holiday in the Cayman Islands is awaited.
