The end-of-season tournament began on March 17th with a thrilling game as the SOL Jaguars rallied from deficits of 6-0 and 11-3 to pull out a dramatic 12-11 win in their final at bat.

The SOL Panthers built up a good lead with a balanced offensive attack. Lili Aleria, Stephanie Menko, Keirsten McLaughlin, and Demae Lee each scored two runs, with Stephanie’s RBI double being the big blow in the six run first inning. Catcher Jahzara Barnes added two RBIs.

The SOL Jaguars were led by Rio Windsor, who was two for three with three runs scored, Janey Veilleux, who scored two runs, Shay Windsor, who was two for three with three runs and an RBI, and Clara Ramos, who was three for three with two runs and two RBIs.

The intense game came down to the final inning. The SOL Panthers led 11-8 with two outs and the bases loaded for the SOL Jaguars. Shay hit a high pop-up just behind second base that appeared to be the final out. However the catch was dropped and all three runners managed to score on the play after the ball bounced away. Shay later advanced to third base on a wild pitch and Clara brought her home with the game winning run on a solid line drive base hit to centre field.
