Grand Cayman Marriott Resort Redefines the Beachfront Experience with a Multi- Million-Dollar Investment

Marriott Resort is undertaking a multi- million-dollar investment to restore its beachfront shoreline. These enhancements are part of a strategic plan to elevate the guest experience, create approximately 150 new jobs, recapture business previously lost to the erosion, and support local government revenue reinforcing the resort’s leadership within the hospitality sector.

As part of this evolution, the resort will introduce a refreshed identity as Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort and debut the beach as a dedicated venue for corporate meetings, summits, galas and other special events, reflecting its continued commitment to guests and to the Cayman Islands’ tourism economy and local community.

Every aspect of the restoration and renovation has been carefully planned to deliver an exceptional beachfront experience for our guests.” The beach restoration is expected to finish early September. The project will replenish the shoreline with carefully sourced sand and low-profile rock structures to maintain the beach over time. Environmental conservation has been a priority throughout this project, with measures implemented to protect coral, flora, and fauna. Once complete, the beach will be open to the public and serve as a demonstration project that could guide similar efforts to replace sand lost during storms along Seven Mile Beach.

classes by the sea, Chef’s Table dinners on the sand, private beach gatherings, and

As part of this evolution, Grand Cayman Marriott Resort is also expanding its events portfolio by introducing the beach as a dedicated event venue. The oceanfront setting offers groups a distinctive, open-air alternative to the resort’s 6,900 sq. ft. of indoor meeting space, with flexible configurations to accommodate groups of varying sizes, framed by the natural beauty of Seven Mile Beach. The venue is available for bookings beginning in October.
