The global pandemic has placed our health at the core of everything we do, so the Caymanian Times has begun 2021 with a new column focusing on health issues to get people in Cayman fighting fit for the New Year and beyond.
There’s no better way to kickstart a new health and wellness regime for 2021 than by attending some of the huge array of exercise classes, dining, coaching sessions and more taking place at the Kimpton Seafire this weekend, all with a focus on health but with a solid dose of fun added into the mix too.
Running from today, Friday 8th January through to Tuesday January 12th, the event begins on Friday evening with a wellness vendor showcase, where attendees can browse through booths and enjoy healthy foods, check out the latest sports gear and maybe purchase a scented candle to promote relaxation and mental health. Local businesses featured will include Pure Treats, Saucha, Beauty Shape, Tea Time in Cayman, Cayman Sports, Island Naturals, Palettas America, Reviv, Rachel Christ Jewelry, Glazed with Nature, Lively you Candles, 345 Activewear and Isy B.
From Saturday onwards it is a heady mix of workouts (both on dry land and in the pool), healthy dining sessions and even a speed dating life coaching class where you can join members of the Cayman Islands Professional Coaches Association as they explore intentions for 2021 through a fun one-on-one speed coaching session, all washed down with a variety of tea options provided by Cayman Tea Time.
Following a Ryde sunset party complete with cocktails and healthy bites, there’s a back to roots dinner created by Executive Chef Massimo de Francesca, featuring local produce from local farmers.
Sunday is packed full of yoga sessions (again, on dry land and also on a paddleboard), as well as a full body workout inspired by ballet technique, while Monday features more sports, yoga and even some wine on the menu for good measure. On Monday and Tuesday also look out for CI$99 cabana specials where you can reserve a luxury pool cabana at a promotional rate available exclusively over the Wellness Festival, and it even includes a bottle of Prosecco.
For those who would like to soak up the holistic atmosphere for the extended weekend, you can book a staycation at the Kimpton by calling 746-0000 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that some of the events are paid for events.
