North Sound Golf Club regulars enjoyed the six courses they visited
Twelve local golfers spent one unforgettable week on the Emerald Isle on six iconic courses.
A crew of North Sound Golf Club regulars have returned from their annual overseas adventure and Ireland more than lived up to its legendary reputation.
The group tackled Lahinch, Dooks, Old Head, Ballybunion, Tralee and Waterville, enjoying picture perfect conditions all week long. Sunshine, smooth fairways and world class links golf made for a dream run across the southwest coast.
This year’s trip featured a Europe versus Canada showdown: four rounds of four-ball match play followed by a final day of singles. When the last putt dropped, Team Europe kept bragging rights for another year.
The travelling contingent included Chaz Thomas, Dan Fortune, James Walton, Stuart Reed, Jonathan Joyce, Jason Perras, Ben Pershick, Ian Bridges, Greg O’Driscoll, Tom Dillon and other North Sound regulars.
Adding to the fun, each day was documented in a newsletter, a perfect keepsake from a week of great golf and even better camaraderie.
