Launch of New, Easy-to-Read Bus Route Maps take effect
By: PLAHI PR
The Ministry of Planning, Lands, Agriculture, Housing & Infrastructure (PLAHI), in partnership with the Public Transport Unit (PTU), has officially launched new, easy-to-read bus route maps at key shelters across Grand Cayman, making it simpler than ever for residents and visitors to navigate the island by bus.
The new maps — installed at approximately 25 shelters — clearly display route numbers, major stops, and PTU contact details for enquiries, complaints, and feedback. The initiative is designed to:
• Improve public awareness of existing bus routes.
• Encourage adherence to assigned routes by bus operators.
• Promote public transport as a reliable, attractive, and affordable travel option.
Commuters can also scan the QR code featured on each map to access a digital version instantly on their phone, or visit www.caymantransport.ky
