LeBron James expects the Lakers to progress

The Los Angeles Lakers were demolished as they opened their first-round playoff series with a 117-95 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday but LeBron James is adamant that they can still get through.

Saturday’s crushing loss at Crypto.com Arena is not unusual for James. Now 31-24 in Game 1s across his playoff career, the four-time champion has often used series openers as merely a chance to access the opposition.

“We should be more than prepared on Tuesday night,” James announced. “Sometimes, it takes a quarter, two quarters, a full game to get used to playoff basketball again.” History shows that for him that is right.

That was after earlier beating the Chicago Bulls. Shooting guard Tyler Herro has been the Heat star so far. Heat played the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first play-off game on Sunday night.
