Man Arrested for DUI After Collision with Pedestrians
Shortly after 1:40AM yesterday, 10 May, officers responded to a report of a traffic collision on North Sound Road, involving a Honda Fit and two pedestrians. It was reported that the pedestrians were walking in the vicinity of Seymour Drive, when the Honda left the roadway and collided with a post and then struck the pedestrians. The vehicle then left the location.
EMS attended the location and provided medical attention to the pedestrians, who had received minor injuries.
Shortly afterwards the involved vehicle was located by police. The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI and other traffic offenses. A breath test was conducted on the driver, with a result three times above the legal limit.
The matter is currently under investigation.
