The Miss World Cayman Islands Organization regrets to announce that the fourth edition of the Miss World Cayman pageant which is scheduled to be held on Saturday, September 17th, 2022 has been postponed due to the passing of the United Kingdom’s longest-serving monarch, Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away peacefully at Balmoral on the afternoon of September 8th.  She was 96.

The Cayman Islands has joined the UK and other Overseas Territories in 11 days of National Mourning until 8am on the day after the State Funeral. With this in mind and as a mark of respect for Her late Majesty The Queen, the pageant has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 24th 2022 at Harquail Theatre, starting at 7pm (cocktails at 6pm). For further questions on inquiries regarding the postponement, please contact the MWCI Organization by e-mailing missworldcayman@gmail.com. For the latest updates, please follow the MWCI’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter social media pages.

The MWCI Committee apologizes for any inconvenience this has caused and we hope that you understand our reason for postponing the event. Thank you for your cooperation and continued support in the Miss World Cayman Islands organization. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family as we bid farewell to Her late Majesty The Queen, who was the embodiment of dignity and grace, and who lived an enduring life of duty and honor.
