New Self-Help Foundation Thanks Community for 25 Years of Support for Talent Exposition of the Arts

The New Self-Help Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to the performers, volunteers, sponsors, supporters and members of the public who helped make the 25th Talent Exposition of the Arts a memorable success.

Held on Sunday, June 28, at the Harquail Theatre, the silver anniversary production celebrated 25 years of showcasing Caymanian talent under the inspiring theme “Hope.” The evening featured outstanding performances in music, dance, drama, spoken word and instrumental music by both emerging and established artists from across the Cayman Islands.

The Foundation said the milestone event highlighted the remarkable growth of the performing arts while celebrating the creativity, dedication and talent of Caymanian youth.

“The Talent Exposition of the Arts has always been about creating opportunities for young people to discover, develop and share their talents with the community,” the Foundation said. “As we celebrate this 25-year milestone, we are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported this programme and helped it become a lasting legacy for the Cayman Islands.”

The Foundation extended special appreciation to Artistic Director and Producer JC Connor, whose vision, leadership and unwavering commitment have guided the production since its inception 25 years ago.

Special thanks were also extended to host Lloyd Barker, Anika Jefferson, Dr. Monika Lawrence, Stage Manager Sophie Conolly, as well as the performers, choreographers, directors, teachers, musicians, technical crews, volunteers and the many parents and families whose encouragement and dedication contributed to the event’s success.

The Foundation also expressed sincere appreciation to its sponsors and community partners for their continued investment in youth development and the performing arts. Gratitude was extended to the audience whose enthusiastic support filled the Harquail Theatre and inspired every performer who took the stage.

Since its inception, the Talent Exposition of the Arts has provided hundreds of young people with a platform to showcase their artistic gifts while fostering confidence, discipline and creative expression. Many former participants have gone on to successful careers in music, theatre, dance and other creative fields.

Organizers said this year’s production was a fitting celebration of the programme’s enduring legacy and reaffirmed its commitment to inspiring and nurturing future generations of Caymanian performers.

The New Self-Help Foundation thanks the Cayman Islands community for its unwavering support over the past quarter century and looks forward to welcoming audiences back for the 26th Talent Exposition of the Arts next year. To God be the glory.
