Non-essential Travel Prohibited Between Islands

The National Emergency Operations Centre reminds the public that travel remains restricted between the three Cayman Islands until further notice.

Persons may only travel between Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman to provide essential services, or for emergency medical purposes, as outlined by the most recent version of the Prevention, Suppression and Control of COVID-19, Regulations 2020.

Persons traveling between any of the three Islands may do this by contacting bractravel@gov.ky with the details of their proposed travel, including: purpose of visit, length of stay, accommodations, etc. Applications will be processed on a case by case basis.

All individuals travelling to the Sister Islands from Grand Cayman must undergo a 14-day mandatory isolation period at a Government facility, as determined by Dr Williams or Dr Velusamy. They will be tested on the 15th day and direct transportation to the airport will be arranged pending a negative result.

The story is not true, ask anyone who works at the Cayman Brac Airport.
