Just after 2:10 AM on Saturday, 1 March, officers from the RCIPS and other emergency responders were dispatched to a report of a man found with apparent stab wounds on Mary Street in George Town.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a man with multiple lacerations. He was transported to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary investigations suggest the stabbing occurred near the junction of Mary Street and Shedden Road. A 47-year-old man from West Bay has since been arrested on suspicion of Assault GBH (Grievous Bodily Harm) and remains in police custody as the investigation continues.
