Police Seek Public Assistance to Locate Stolen Jewellery

Just after 10:30 AM on Sunday, 28 December, police responded to a residence in North Side where it was reported that a burglary had occurred.

It appeared that a man entered the residence during the night and stole high-value items of jewellery from the household, specifically, 5 rings. The rings were described as a double row yellow gold Clash de Cartier rings, a yellow gold Cartier Love Ring, two 1.8 carat diamond and white gold ring stackable rings and a white gold halo diamond ring with a total of 21 full-cut diamonds totalling 1.26 carats.

Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance to locate these stolen items, and photographs of the items are attached. The public is also being reminded that it is an offence to handle stolen goods: A person handles stolen goods if, knowing or believing them to be stolen, dishonestly receives the goods, or dishonestly undertakes or assists in their retention, removal, disposal or realisation by or for the benefit of another person. A person who handles stolen goods is liable to imprisonment for fourteen years. (Penal Code 2024 Revision, Pg. 115, section 260)

Anyone with information about where they can be located is encouraged to call the Bodden Town Police Station at 947-2220.
