RBC is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Cayman Islands Basketball Association’s (C.I.B.A.) comprehensive basketball development program, an initiative designed to help young athletes reach their full potential both in the game and in life.

The program goes far beyond developing basketball skills. While participants sharpen their technical abilities on the court, they’ll gain essential life skills including sportsmanship, teamwork, financial literacy, health and hygiene practices, and the importance of balancing academics with athletics through C.I.B.A.’s “basketball and books” initiative.

“This partnership with RBC represents a transformative moment for young athletes across the Cayman Islands,” said Collin Anglin, President of C.I.B.A. “At C.I.B.A., our vision has always been to positively impact lives through basketball. With RBC’s support, we’re able to expand our reach and provide comprehensive development opportunities that nurture not just skilled athletes, but well-rounded individuals equipped with the values and life skills to succeed in whatever path they choose. This program embodies everything we stand for—integrity, teamwork, respect, and perseverance.”

“At RBC, we believe in empowering the next generation with the tools they need to succeed in every area of life,” said Khadene Lobban, Area Vice President, Personal & Private Banking and Cayman Country Head at RBC. “This partnership with C.I.B.A. reflects our commitment to the Cayman Islands community. By supporting young athletes as they develop skills in financial literacy, teamwork, and character building, we’re helping them build a foundation for lifelong success. We’re incredibly proud to stand alongside C.I.B.A. in this important work.”

RBC is sponsoring a full roster of development opportunities throughout the year. An upcoming highlight will be the Royal Bank Academy Day on March 28, 2026, featuring a special focus on building Teamwork & Trust—core values that extend from the basketball court into every aspect of life.
