RICS Cayman Islands Property Update Forum 2025 Set for Thursday 25th September 2025
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Cayman Islands Chapter will host its Property Update Forum 2025 on Thursday, September 25, from 5:00–8:00 PM at the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort’s Orchid Ballroom.
The event, offering three hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), will bring together leading voices from across the real estate and construction sector to discuss market performance, affordability, policy changes, and investment trends.
The forum will open with a welcome by Andrew Gilbert, Chair of the RICS Cayman Islands Chapter, and remarks by the Hon. Andre Ebanks, Premier of the Cayman Islands. A key highlight will be the launch of the new Residential Property Price Index (RPPI) by Uche Obi, Director of the Lands and Survey Department, developed with support from the IMF and CARTAC. The RPPI represents a milestone for the local industry, providing market participants with robust, data-driven insights into pricing trends, valuations, and market performance.
A panel discussion moderated by Jeremy Hurst, President of IRG International, will feature Ruth Watson (Chief Valuation Officer, Cayman Islands Government), James Bovell (Broker/Owner, RE/MAX Cayman Islands), Matthew O’Keefe (Senior Real Estate & GIS Analyst, Dart), Eric Cameron (President, CASE), and Denton Cole (Associate Director, BCQS International). The panel will share expert perspectives on market performance, investment trends, government policy, affordability, and forecasts for the year ahead.
The evening will conclude with a networking reception sponsored by Sandbank Capital LTD
The RICS Cayman Islands Chapter gratefully acknowledges the support of Butterfield Bank, the Department of Lands and Survey (Cayman Islands Government), CIREBA, and IRG for their sponsorship of the forum.
