Just before 1AM on Sunday morning, 1 September, police and other emergency services were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle collision that took place in the vicinity of Doubloon Drive, Bodden Town.
The collision took place when the driver of the vehicle involved lost control of and collided with the wall of a residence in the area. The vehicle had two occupants at time of the collision, both with serious injuries and one man in critical condition.
They were both transported to the hospital by the ambulance after being assisted out of the vehicle by officers from the Cayman Islands Fire Service.
The roadway was blocked on both sides and motorists heading into Bodden Town were diverted through Will T Drive in the Lower Valley area and Motorists heading in the direction of George Town from the Eastern Districts were diverted through Northward.
The incident is under investigation by the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit and traffic investigators are encouraging anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the George Town Police Station at 949-4222. or the Traffic Department at 649-6254.
