Oblique Seville cruised to 100m victory
Caribbean athletes excelled again as 32 athletes were crowned 2026 Wanda Diamond League champions at the series final in Brussels over the weekend.
This year’s final produced a heady mix of first-time winners, veteran champions and rising stars, with a handful of surprises thrown in for good measure.
They included established stars like 100 metres hurdles world record holder Masai Russell and Jamaica’s 100m world champion Oblique Seville as well as upcoming talents such as US pole vaulter Hana Moll and Australian middle-distance ace Cameron Myers.
The likes of St Lucia’s Julien Alfred (200m), Emmanuel Wanyonyi and Faith Cherotich extended their already impressive title-winning streaks. Jamaica’s Tina Clayton won the women’s 100m.
