CAYMAN PRIDE PARADE RETURNS 10 OCTOBER WITH A MESSAGE OF BELONGING, VISIBILITY AND ACTION
Cayman Pride, presented by marquee sponsor Eldridge Legal, will take to the streets on Saturday, 10 October 2026, bringing the community together for an afternoon of celebration, visibility and belonging.
The Cayman Pride Parade begins at 3:30 PM at XQ’s on West Bay Road and will make its way to the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, where the celebration will continue with the official Pride after-party.
At the heart of this year’s Pride is a simple message: everybody matters.
“At Cayman Pride, our team — Chantal Basson, Tara Bush, Julian Foster, Schmarrah McCarthy and Zee Wright — wants to create a genuine sense of belonging while celebrating both our sameness and our uniqueness,” said Tara Bush of Cayman Pride. “Whatever our background, nationality, race, gender or identity, we all share a fundamental need to know that we belong, that we are valued and that there is a place for us in our community.”
For Cayman Pride, the annual parade is about much more than one day of celebration. It is an opportunity to build awareness, strengthen community connections and help create a Cayman Islands where people can live with dignity, respect and a genuine sense of belonging.
This year, Cayman Pride is also calling on businesses and organisations across the Cayman Islands to turn their commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion into visible action.
“We hear a great deal about diversity and inclusion, but Pride gives organisations an opportunity to demonstrate what those words mean in practice,” Bush said. “We want to see more businesses come out, stand alongside their employees and the wider community, and show that inclusion is not simply something written in a policy or discussed in a boardroom. It is something we live.”
Julian Foster, Marketing Director for Cayman Pride, said the growing visibility of Pride demonstrates the importance of creating spaces where everyone feels represented and welcomed.
“Visibility matters. When businesses, organisations, families, friends and allies stand alongside the LGBTQIA+ community, it sends a powerful message that everyone has a place here,” Foster said. “Pride gives us an opportunity not only to celebrate who we are, but to show what an inclusive Cayman can look like. We want people to see themselves reflected in this event and know that they belong.”
Cayman Pride says the support of local businesses, volunteers, sponsors and community partners has been instrumental in making the 2026 celebration possible.
“We have an incredible team behind Pride, and there is a genuine energy and sense of purpose among us,” Bush said. “A tremendous amount of work is happening behind the scenes — from marketing and creative development to sponsorship, volunteers, safety and logistics. Everyone brings something to the table, and that collective effort is what Pride is really about.”
Following the parade, celebrations will continue at the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, which is preparing to welcome the Pride community for the official after-party.
Cayman Pride welcomes everyone — members of the LGBTQ+ community, families, friends, allies, businesses and community organisations — to come out, participate and show their support.
The Cayman Pride Parade takes place Saturday, 10 October 2026, beginning at 3:30 PM at XQ’s on West Bay Road and concluding at the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa. Both events are free to attend, with no registration necessary.
