Social Work Month to Focus on Awareness Raising
The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) will be highlighting the far-reaching impact of social workers this March. Social Work Month 2020’s theme is “Social Workers Generations Strong,” and will be reinforced by the following DCFS events:
• Sunday, 1 – Social Work Month Thanksgiving Church Service, New Testament Church of God, East End, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
• Monday, 9 to Tuesday, 31 - Social Work Month Exhibition: “Social Workers Generations Strong,” Government Administration Building Gallery, 8.30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Tuesday, 17 – World Social Work Day Dress for a Cause Photo Opp, Government Administration Building front steps, 9.15 a.m. sharp
• Tuesday, 17 – Social Work Month Discussion Panel: “The Evolution of Social Work Practice in the Cayman Islands,” Constitution Hall, 4.30 p.m.- 6 p.m.
