Stage Set for Annual MUZAIC

The Cayman Music and Entertainment Association, (CMEA) is once again preparing to host their 12th Annual MUZAIC Festival weekend on the Heroes Day Holiday Weekend January 24th thru 27th 2020.

The festival format is the same as in previous years, hosting 5 key events over the four day holiday weekend.

“Establishing and sustaining cultural events is something vitally important in our island community today”, commented CMEA President Jeán-Eric Smith.

The four day MUZAIC FESTIVAL WEEKEND kicks off as usual at sunset on Friday January 24th with The DJ's Showcase. The Venue for this event is to be announced.

Then on Saturday afternoon the sounds of the Young Musicians Showcase will once again reverberate throughout the halls of the Harquail Theater, starting at 1pm until 5pm.

This family friendly event is free to the public and all all of the community are encouraged to come out and show your support for the musicians of tomorrow.

Later that Saturday evening, (25th Jaunuary) the CMEA will host its Heroes Salute which is an intimate evening of local performances at the Havana Club in Caribbean Plaza, along the Seven Mile Beach Corridor in honor of all 2020 Heroes Day recipients.

There is an extensive guest list for this event, with all Heroes Day honorees provided free entry as formal guest of the CMEA.

“Please reserve your seat early. This event is also free to all ladies before 10 pm,” said noted Mr. Smith.

As is customary, there is a CI$10 cover charge at the door otherwise.

Sunday night will mark the 12th Annual MUZAIC Awards ceremony which will once again be held at the Harquail Theater, off West Bay Rd.

Gates open at 6pm with a live music prelude,meet and greet, followed by the official opening at 7pm.

There will be Free admission for all past awardees as well as to all CMEA members in ‘good standing,’ with respect membership fees being paid and current.

As is customary there is a CI$10 cover charge at the door for all others.

Monday's grand finale, The Live Music Showcase, will once again be incorporated into the National Heroes Day Awards ceremony post awards entertainment on Monday January 27th at Heroes Sq. and will be free admission to the public.

The Live Music Showcase is set to start at approximately 12pm and will run until 5pm.

Themed locations and line up information will be announced.
