The National Roads Authority will open the East-West Agricola on 4th September 2025
The National Roads Authority (NRA) has announced that a section of the new East–West Agricola road will be opening to the public on the 4th September 2025. While this important new connection is now accessible, motorists are reminded that the road remains an active work zone.
The surface is currently temporary, and construction works will continue in the area. Motorists are therefore urged to exercise caution, drive at the posted speed limit of 25 mph, and be alert to the presence of large trucks and heavy equipment operating along the route.
At the junction of Hirst Road and the Rex Crighton Boulevard, a mini roundabout has been installed. Drivers are reminded to follow the basic rules of roundabout navigation:
• Yield to vehicles already in the roundabout, giving way to the right
• Travel in a clockwise direction around the central island
• Signal appropriately when exiting
The NRA thanks the public for their patience and cooperation as work progresses on this vital infrastructure project. The East–West Agricola road will, once completed, provide improved connectivity and support the long-term development of the eastern districts.
